Watch November 12 National Journal GOP Debate in South Carolina
This 90 minute debate was a real doozie.
Romney and Gingrich put war with Iran on the table. Newt employed his diplomatic tact, acrobatically agreed with all other debaters while offering his own ways of dealing with foreign threats, and generally proved his prowess when it comes to national security issues. Ron Paul discussed the constitution, declaring the necessity of looking to the document we claim comprises our most sacred rights.
Perry had a nearly gaffe free night, making light of his dead-air gaffe from the last debate, and a shorthaired Michele Bachmann appeared far more Presidential all the while getting far less television time than she usually does. On the other hand, frontrunner Herman Cain had, by all accounts a very poor debate, and John Huntsman wore what looked to me like a plumb suit and an effeminate tie. Not a problem, just weird.
